Executive Team
From his beginnings in education to his career in Human Resources, Mike Teke has gained extensive experience in people and business management in BHP and Impala, as well as CEO of Optimum Coal Holdings (prior to it being taken over by Glencore). Mike is the Chairperson and controlling shareholder of the Masimong Group and serves as Chair/Non-Executive Director at the Anchor Group, Rofles Holdings and the Richards Bay Coal Terminal.
He is also a past president of the Chamber of Mines and serves on the Council of the Chamber. In keeping with his passion to leave a legacy for the next generation, Mike serves on the board of the University of Johannesburg.
Doug is a qualified chartered accountant who has been active in mining and other investment industries for the past 17 years.
A co-founder of the diversified Masimong Group, he led the successful acquisitions of Seriti’s cost-plus mines and project from Anglo American in 2018. He also led the Seriti team in concluding transaction agreements with South32 to acquire its South African Energy Coal (SAEC) business, which will make Seriti Africa’s largest coal supplier.
Doug is responsible for the finance, procurement, business development, information technology and marketing functions of Seriti.
Kevin is a professional engineer with over 20 years of experience in design, construction and operation of surface and underground mining operations at various stages in the asset life cycle.
He has extensive experience in the South African and Canadian mining industries, along with experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
His advanced business and technical acumen ensure a firm understanding of effective processes and systems, including resolving issues and implementing appropriate improvements.
As CLO Nicks acts as general counsel to the Seriti Resources and the Board on all legal matters and has overall responsibility for the legal, risk and compliance, as well as company secretarial and governance functions across the group.
He has been a legal adviser to Seriti Resources since the company was established in 2016 to pursue the acquisition of Anglo American’s Eskom-tied collieries and was the lead lawyer for Seriti’s acquisitions of the New Largo project and of South32’s South African Energy Coal (SAEC) operations.
Nick was admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 2005 (as well as in England and Wales in 2009) and has since then practised primarily in the field of corporate and commercial law, while also having gained experience in mining, environmental and banking related matters.
Ranganai is a qualified engineer with leadership experience in senior management and executive roles.
His experience also includes working in the Australian and Zimbabwean mining environments with exposure to international coal and base metals markets, as well as innovative technology.
He is also well-versed in the safety and health aspects of mining, and the management and construction of water-treatment plants in partnership with local government.
Ndumi Khoza is an accomplished business executive with over 20 years of experience in driving Human Resources strategies and solutions in multinationals across various industries in South Africa, including construction, FMCG and mining.
Prior to Seriti, Ndumi held a number of executive roles contributing exponentially in leading projects in world-class manufacturing principles, restructuring and change management.
She also understands and has led the implementation of HR best practices, including Investor in People Standards.
Amongst other qualifications, Ndumi possesses an MBA from the University of Wales and a BA Honours in Social Sciences from the University of KwaZulu Natal. She also sits in various organisational Boards in the South32 business.
Responsible for leading the digital technology strategy, programmes and processes across the Seriti Group, Rajesh Sewraj leverages his two decades of professional experience and acumen to lead Seriti’s technological future.
After attaining the role of Group Chief Technology Officer for Tiger Brands Group, Rajesh left the formal sector to pursue his own venture in IT consultation before being headhunted by Seriti to support their successful acquisition of Anglo American's Eskom Tied Coal Mines in 2017.

Since then, Rajesh has maintained a career long track record for successfully managing numerous Enterprise Class projects, streamlining large-scale business deals and consistently sustaining exceptionally high-quality standards.
With over 33 years of industry experience, Thabo Masike is a professional HR practitioner and has worked in various management leadership roles, and has over the past two years served as a senior corporate human resources head.
He has extensive experience in dealing with unions and associations, communities and local government structures. Thabo was also seconded to McKinsey and Company for a stint during his tenure at Bhp Billiton SA.
